American Business MediaFounded in 1906, American Business Media is the only industry association focused on the integrated b-to-b media model, which includes print publications, events, digital media and business information - ABM delivers intelligence to industry professionals worldwide, including Madison Avenue, Wall Street and the Beltway. ABM's 200-plus member companies reach an audience of more than 100 million professionals and represent nearly 4,000 print & online titles and over 1,000 trade shows, with more than $20 billion in annual revenues.

 

ASMEThe American Society of Magazine Editors is the principal organization for magazine journalists in the US. The 700 members of ASME include the editorial leaders of most major consumer and business magazines published in print and online. Founded in 1963, ASME works to defend the First Amendment, protect editorial independence and support the development of journalism. ASME sponsors the National Magazine Awards in association with the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.

 

The Ashmead AwardThe Ashmead Award, honoring legendary book editor Lawrence Peel Ashmead—known to one and all as Larry--is designed to nurture the career of a promising young editor in the field of book publishing, as an effort to recognize and continue the tradition of Larry’s long and honorable history of mentoring young editors and helping them develop their careers in publishing.


AAUP logoThe Association of American University Presses is an organization of nonprofit publishers whose members strive to advance scholarship through their offerings. The Association’s mission is to assist its members through professional education, cooperative services, and public advocacy.


BookBuildersBookbuilders of Boston, a nonprofit organization founded in 1937, is dedicated to bringing together people involved in book publishing and manufacturing. Its membership represents all facets of the book industry: editing, design, production, manufacturing, and marketing. Through its various activities, Bookbuilders offers a forum to exchange information, learn new technologies, and promote improvements in the quality of books.

 

BPNWBook Publishers Northwest is a not-for-profit trade association based in Seattle, Washington. Throughout the year, the association offers free educational seminars for aspiring, new, and experienced publishers. They also coordinate select displays of their members' books at local events, including the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Associations annual trade show.


CBL LogoThe Câmara Brasileira do Livro (Brazilian Book Chamber – CBL) centralizes the concerns of publishers, distributors, booksellers and door-to-door sales organizations in small, midsized and large companies all brought together for a fundamental purpose: making a better country through books and reading. Founded in 1964, CBL represents over 500 associates throughout Brazil.

 

ECPA LogoSince 1974, ECPA has strengthened Christian publishing by building networking, information, and advocacy opportunities within the industry and across multiple channels so that our members can more effectively produce and deliver transformational Christian content.

 

ewip logoEWIP/WIPP is a non-profit educational organization. Our active volunteer members and board of directors strive to support women in publishing, in all manner of publications whether print, online, mobile, or other digital media. We also encourage female entrepreneurship, and offer a range of professional development programs through our national and regional events, online communications, mentoring, and research.

 

Institute of Book PublishingThe Institute of Book Publishing, located in New Delhi, is the first of its kind in Asia. Responding to the growing needs for professionally trained and well-honed personnel to feed the growing book industry in the country, the Institute was founded by the late Mr. O.P. Ghai, the founder Chairman of Sterling Publishers Pvt. Ltd. in 1986.

 

ncbpma logoThe Northern California Book Publicity & Marketing Association (NCBPMA) is an organization devoted to education about the publicity, promotion, marketing, and distribution of books throughout Northern California and beyond. Founded in 1975, membership includes a broad spectrum of publishing colleagues.

 

ONA LogoThe Online News Association is the world’s largest association of digital journalists. ONA’s mission is to inspire innovation and excellence among journalists to better serve the public. The membership includes news writers, producers, designers, editors, bloggers, developers, photographers and others who produce news for the Internet or other digital delivery systems. ONA also hosts the Online News Association annual conference and administers the Online Journalism Awards.
